Andrew Jones did send me, as a reaction on my posting of this tsory on nettime.org the following poem (which I did check on Google if it had been published before, as I did not find any trace of the combination of word in this order in this poem, I copy and paste it below here from the email addressed to me:

Sunken city
there are no
rainbows
in the low sky
so an ill will
drove them
to reclaim
their souls
from the sea

Sunken city
where desire
is cheap
and dreams
of open windows
control the eye
of God
there is nothing
to confess

Sunken city
fix it if it works
and when it’s broken
hide it in the shadow
of the Golden Age

I was brought here by your nettime post, but this is quite enlightening, very much worth reading. I spend a lot of time in heavily tourist-trafficked, globalized cities and your post here is a useful study of how such things work out on the ground.
