After the murder on Pim Fortuyn, the elections were not cancelled but went on as planned.
The result was a huge victorie for the LPF and led to the first
Balkebende kabinet.
According to my information is it not allowed to vote for a dead
"lijsttrekker" that's exactly what happened in the slipstream of the assasination.
The second funeral can be considered as an act of propaganda
to achieve that goal with as result that the LPF without their frontman Pim Fortuyn won the elections.
In that perspective you could say that the Balkebende kabinet
that was formed was illegal , an orchestrated coup also related to the purchase of the JSF.

Without the costs involved in that project estimated nowadays 8 miljard euro there would be no crisis in this country.
We have been ripped and mislead by the militairy industrial complex this as nothing more than an orchestrated coup

dear tjebbe

my phd was in fine art and it was called a limited catalogue of endless things after a story by borges called the aleph. it was essentially an archive of image and audio fragments of media culture looping and combining in layers with random transparency using a custom software. i was inspired by your text the art of oneself - it helped me think about how i could weave the personal into my writing about my work. it is a beautiful piece of writing.

i remember over dinner you said to your son or daughter when s/he complained about the toy : it is not made to be played with it is made to be sold. i think i was there with charles landry also of PDC (who later wrote a book about the demise of the co-op/collective way of running a business) we used to load up the renault van with anarchist and other left wing books and magazines and drive to holland and deliver to you and athenaeum and van gennep and rooie rat in utrecht. and all financed by the uk labour government as a job creation scheme. little did we know what was in store!

i also spent quite a bit of time with your wife or partner whose name after 30 years has escaped me unfortunately. i was very young and naive and you were both very kind to me.

warm regards

Thank you Johannes Klabbers, tell me what was your Phd about? PDC it took a while but after my first coffee sip this morning I knew it: People's Distribution Coop. Which reminds me of an unfinished text on the history of alternative bookshops in the Netherlands... such writings are mostly just for the pleasure of the writer doing remembrance exercises, still very little exists seeing that time from the perspective of electronic communication and media now... I will need some more important to be able to get back to that dinner table...
